The 2010 USC Boys’ Residential Position Camp is now over and players, coaches, and parents all had a great time. The 4-day, 3-night camp focused primarily on building individual position skills, but toward the end, culminated in a 4-team round-robin tournament.
With tournament Offensive MVP Dylan Acevedo and Defensive MVP Tyler Feniello leading the charge, Team C won first place, going undefeated through the entire tournament. Team D, the runner-up, lost by only 1 goal in a 6-5 heart breaker.
While Team B edged Team A 5-4 in the consolation bracket championship and two of its players were also recognized during the camp awards ceremony: Sebastian Vericella took Most Improved Camper and Gage Stout took Tournament MVP.
USC Lacrosse would like to thank Atomix Sports for coming out to the camp and training the campers using the same Nike SPARQ training that the USC Lacrosse Team uses. We would also like to thanks LaxHut for co-sponsoring the camp and providing campers with those sweet neon and black sunglasses!
Thank you campers and parents! We’ll be looking for you on the sidelines of SC games and at the 2011 camp!
